In 2011, two friends of ours, Tiago Pinto and Ricardo Otero, developed an app called Large Text. It was a very fun app with one simple feature: display text fullscreen, as large as possible. What for? Ordering drinks in a loud nightclub, share a message with somebody, greet someone at the airport, and a lot more uses people came up with.

It had been a while since their last app update and it was no longer available to install. So we decided to give it a proper do-over on Android.

Result

The priority was to re-design the app. Not only updating it to Material Design, but making it as easy to use and intuitive as possible. Besides, we also added some new features:

Multiple themes (some are paid)
Automatic saving previous messages
Receive text from other apps to display
App shortcuts (only Android 7.1+)
